Alouettes sweep Aerobic Gymnastic titles at OFSAA
2017-04-17
by Randy Pascal

Best to add "Aerobic Gymnastics" to the list of athletic activities that the girls representing Collège Notre-Dame are excelling at these days.

Both the Alouettes "Open" and "Novice" teams topped the provincial podium last week, as the OFSAA Gymnastics Festival was hosted in Belleville. Showcasing routines that demonstrated creativity, synchronized execution, strength, power and flexibility, the locals performed movement patters with high intensity to music, to the delight of judges and fans alike.

"Aerobic Gymnastics" brings together a combination of aerobic skills and dance choreography, with CND teams featuring young women from grade nine through to grade twelve.

The Novice gold meal winning team, coached by Maxine Gauthier and Julie Léger-Dimaio, included Jessie Ouellette, Madison Irish, Britney Seresse, Karine Boucher, Isabelle Papineau and Cassandra Ranger.

Meanwhile, the "Open" team, mentored by Mikella Gauthier and Mrs Léger-Dimaio, featured Kérine St-Georges, Gabrielle McGuire, Ally Tanner and Makenzie Gratton.
