With three of their four lines chipping in on the scoresheet, the Sudbury Wolves extended their season-opening winning streak to four games at home on Sunday afternoon, doubling the winless Brampton Steelheads 4-2.

A 10th round pick in the 2025 OHL Entry Draft, forward Norman Greene (Clarence, NY) continues to impress, opening the scoring with a rapid response rebound goal after cutting in hard off the left wing.

The first goal of his OHL career gives the 17 year-old three points in four games, all while playing in what amounts to a bottom-six forward role at the moment. Rowan Henderson doubled the advantage later in the opening stanza with his first of two special teams tallies on the day, tapping in a lovely centering feed from Mason Walker.

The Wolves made it 3-0 midway through the second period when Blake Clayton and Rowan Henderson broke free on the penalty kill, with Clayton out-waiting a Brampton defender before slipping the puck across the crease to Henderson who netted his third goal of the year.

Forty-four seconds later the Steelheads found some life, on that same power-play as Troy Patton finally solved red-hot Sudbury netminder Paolo Frasca in tight.

Patton converted again with his team on the man advantage in the third before JC Lemieux sealed the Wolves win, slipping in to a back-door seam, with defenseman Liam Ladds threading the needle to perfection on the set-up.

Turning aside 22 of the 24 shots that he has faced, Frasca has still not surrendered more than two goals against in any given game, sporting a minuscule goals against average of 1.25.

Having now tied the franchise record for most consecutive victories to start a season, the 2026-2027 Wolves would look to break new ground in a very quiet week. On Friday night, the local juniors will play host to the Niagara Ice Dogs in their one and only outing that sits between September 28th and October 7th.
