It sure doesn't look like anyone is going to be able to slow down the St Benedict Bears girls tackle football team.

For the second consecutive week, the Bears made things look incredibly easy against an Ottawa-based opponent, trouncing the St Mark's Lions 63-6 last Thursday at the James Jerome Sports Complex.

A five touchdown performance from Olaterere Awosika paved the way for St Benedict, with Caileigh Ryan (2), Elsa Blum, Camilla Finley and Emma DeMarchi also reaching the end zone for the Bears.

Place kicker Ella O'Shaughnessy chipped in with three converts while the only scoring for the Lions came courtesy of a major from Daniella Pierre-Louis.

St Benedict will now face the St Joseph Jaguars in the final in Kingston on May 28th - the same team that they pummeled two weeks ago in Sudbury.
