The Sudbury Wolves HL U18 Lady Wolves Green certainly got their money's worth at the recent Survive the Hive Tournament in Oakville.

With no less than 17 teams competing in their division at the event hosted by the Oakville Hornets, the U18 HL Lady Wolves Green culminated a seven game stretch with a 1-0 shootout win over the Temiskaming Shores Puckhounds.

The SDGHA reps ran off wins over the host Oakville Hornets (3-1), Lindsay Lynx (2-0) and Mississauga Hurricanes - Gold (3-0) before suffering their only setback, a 2-0 loss in game four to the Kitchener Lady Rangers.

The Sudbury side closed out round robin play with a 3-2 win over the Waterloo Ravens, but really got rolling in the semi-final encounter, blitzing the Grand River Mustangs by a final score of 4-0.

The championship affair could not have been much closer, with the northern rivals deadlocked in a scoreless clash that required penalty shots to decide matters.

Katriina Saari and Delila Coutu found the back of the net for the locals while netminder Meghan Knight stopped all four shootout attempts from the Puckhounds, lifting the Lady Wolves to a 1-0 win.

Rounding out the 2025-2026 team roster are Aceline Xiao, Alexie Lamothe, Ava McLinton, Brooke Olivier, Brooklynn Luoma, Carly Lavallee, Evelyn O'Shaughnessy, Honor Nootchtai, Kallie Canard, Maari O'Shaughnessy, Shelby Anne Gervais and Roni Warwick-Chong.

Head coach Reg Canard is joined on the bench by assistant coaches John O'Shaughnessy and Chyna Stott, as well as trainer Danielle Lavallee while Maia O'Shaughnessy and Leigh-Ann Knight share the managerial duties.
