Sending a singular youth team to the Leslie Taylor Ontario Cup in Markham signified a nice step forward for the coaches and administrators of the Sudbury Artistic Swim Club (SASC).

Sending two teams simply knocked it out of the park.

Breaking the squad into a pair of 10U Provincial team entries, with Team Blue (The Muppets) assembling returning athletes and Team Yellow (Super Mario) welcoming newcomers from the recreational / AquaGo program, the SASC placed a pair of groups into the top eight of the 15-team field.

With a championship score of 153.5811 (figures - 76.3334; routine - 77.2477), Team Blue broke into the top five at the well attended event last month, while Team Yellow was just a few spots back at 133.8293 (figures - 60.4167; routine - 73.4125).

The teams will separate for their next meet, with the Muppets back in Markham in April, site of the Jolyn Invitational. Both 10U crews will then re-assemble for the Ontario Provincial Championships, once again in Markham.

Meanwhile, the SASC Regional athletes are equally as busy, with a Spring Meet set for the end of April. Following are the rosters for each of the two 10U teams that recently competed in Markham:
