Based on their performance at the North/East Regional League & Masters Winter Meet 2026 in Kingston, the Sudbury Artistic Swim Club (SASC) 13-15 team seem to possess an innate energy that ranks them among the provincial elite.

Once the fine-tuning of their skill-set catches up to what can loosely be described as the artistic side of the sport, it would seem they could be a force to be reckoned with.

"Despite the nerves, the 13-15 team brought a ton of energy and big theatrical faces to their amazing performance last weekend, which was incredible to watch," noted SASC head coach Courtney Stasiuk-Mohr.

The Sudbury girls placed first in the North and fifth in the North/East overall, but it was their artistic impression that bordered on the outstanding.

They registered the highest "Performance" score, were second highest in "Transitions" and tied for third in "Choreography and Music". "We now head back to the pool to work on the execution of our elements to ensure a well rounded swim for our next competition in the spring," suggested coach Stasiuk-Mohr.

The SASC 13-15 octet features Bella Perron, Hannah Edwards, Brielle Fudge, Sophie Patry, Leah Fosten, Sophie Caya, Violet Shelswell and River Davey.

Meanwhile, the quartet of Maya Benoit, Brianne Portelance, Ave Pagnutti and Emily Roy produced yet another consistent presentation, placing first in the North in the 16-20 division and fifth in the North/East.
