The Boys finally got over "The Hump".

After coming up just short in a few different head to head matchups with the Sudbury Stallions, The Boys soccer crew recently claimed the SRCSL (Sudbury Regional Competitive Soccer League) playoff championship with a 2-1 (4-2) penalty kick win over their arch rivals.

Arsene Mboutue vaulted the champs into the lead with a second half PK strike only to see the Stallions force overtime with an equalizer later on.

The contest, however, was ultimately decided in a shootout as Boys' keeper Thomas Guscott managed to keep three of the five shots he faced out of the net while Wale Olorunnimbe, Uzor Obinna, Timilehin Olubukola and Kamal Oduwole converted on their chances for the winners.

Led by coach/manager George Nwabor, assistant manager Chris Philus and assistant coach Emmanuel David, the Boys roster which is based heavily on talent attending (or having attended) Collège Boréal also features defenders Ikechukwu Udora, Shaju Arvin, Ousmane Diallo, midfielders Akshay Antony, Samuel Onaolapo, Oluyode Oluwasegun and Omokha Paul and attackers Emmanuel Leonard, Marcel Ndoumbe, Christian Niyonzima, Dapo Ola, Excel Origbo, Sekou Toure and Lamine Niass, along with those mentioned previously in this story.
