Securing of the top three tandem awards, student golfers representing Ecole Jean-Paul II in Val Caron can now boast the claim of Best Overall School - at least when it comes to the sport of golf within the elementary ranks of the Conseil Scolaire Catholique Nouvelon.
Some ninety youngsters gathered at Twin Stacks Golf Course in Coniston last month, contesting the 16th annual board golf tournament.
In terms of the two-person competition, Jeremie Dufresne and Alec Montpellier (Ecole Alliance St-Joseph - Chelmsford) topped the podium, followed by the J-P II quartet of Kaleb Salem and Dominick Seguin as well as Ben Sabourin and Maxim Serrurier.
Other recognition for exceptional achievements went the way of:

Longest Drive – Girls: Sydney Lazure-Deschamps - École St-Paul (Lively)
Longest Drive – Boys: Taylor Fraser - École catholique La Renaissance (Espanola)
"These talented Grade 7 and 8 student-athletes showcased their golfing skills in a friendly and spirited competition," noted a board issued media release. "Congratulations to all the standout performers."
