2025-04-27

The Basketball Super League title will be decided in a single game showdown in Sudbury on Tuesday night; this after the Windsor Express outscored the Sudbury Five 24-18 in the fourth quarter of game four, earning an 85-79 victory to even the series at two games apiece.

In a matchup of two evenly balanced teams, game four fittingly kicked off the fourth quarter of play tied at 61-61.

Coming off the bench early, Zavier Turner netted 19 points to lead the Windsor attack, with Latin Davis (15), Jaire Grayer (14), Mike Bruce (14) and Lydell Elmore (12) all playing a part in the win.

Charlie Marquardt made his return felt in a big way for Sudbury, finishing with a game high 21-point effort, with Duane Notice (17) and J.D. Miller (15) also hitting double digits.

Defense was front and centre as neither team shot the ball particularly well, especially from beyond the arc (27.3% vs 24% for the Express), with both teams sinking 17 free throws.

Tip-off on Tuesday is set for shortly after 7:00 p.m. at the Sudbury Community Arena.
