2024-08-30

A two-goal effort from Makayla Dunn powered the Sudbury U18 AA Lady Wolves to a 5-0 win over the North Bay Jr Lakers in pre-season action earlier this week, with goaltenders Kate Bouchard and Chloe Trudeau sharing the shutout.

The line of Dunn, Reese Williamson and Avery Mininni combined for a total of nine points with all three players finding the back of the net for the local squad.

Veteran Jillian Landry capped off the scoring with Kynlee Cresswell, Carrington Parise, Gabby Cholette and Payton Cyr all picking up helpers.

The Lady Wolves are likely to face a notable jump in level of competition this coming weekend at the Etobicoke Exhibition Series with games against both the Brampton Canadettes and Central York Panthers on the docket in Toronto.

The Sudbury girls follow that up with an appearance at the Stoney Creek U18 Showcase the following weekend.

Head coach Eric Navarro will head south with a roster that includes: Hannah Adler, Alyssa Bryant, Trinity Cheechoo, May Corson, Daviy Dale, Sadie Frantz, Lia Gallo, Sophie Gauld, Raina Gauthier, Kahlan Judd, Audrey McKinnon, Keanna Navarro, Kloe Rienguette, Ella Sabourin, Ryan Snow, Paige Taylor and Maelle White.
