The Sudbury U18 A Lady Wolves are not wasting any time getting some competition under their belt with OWHA (Ontario Women's Hockey Association) regular season play still several weeks away.
Coach Glen Favot and company made the trek south last week for a two-game set with the North Simcoe Capitals, returning home with a win and a tie in a very solid early season showing.
A two-goal effort from Ava Bois helped power the Sudbury girls to a 4-1 win in their opener, with Addison Gibbs and Kendra Cole chipping in with one goal apiece.
The second affair resulted in a 4-4 deadlock as both Kendra Cole and Addison Gibbs were joined on the scoresheet by Gracie Dale and Michaela Cole.
Rounding out the Sudbury U18 A Lady Wolves roster this year are: Berkley Pitura, Joanna Ajueze, Maya Flores, Lileigh Dormer, Mia Hammell, Isabelle Lanteigne, Isabella Perry, Sarah Withers, Mya Massimiliano, Leila Barsanti and Leah Murphy.
In other Sudbury Lady Wolves news, the U18 AA crew will get tested this week a few different times, facing the North Bay Jr Lakers in exhibition play Tuesday night in North Bay and then participating in the Etobicoke Dolphins Exhibition Series over the course of the long weekend in the GTA.
