2024-04-15

With the Ontario Tumbling & Trampoline Championships only weeks away, Sudbury Laurels (GymZone) competitors were pulling out all stops at the third qualifier earlier this month in Alliston.

Hitting the podium for the very first time, Liam Cairns (Trampoline - Level 2 - 15+) earned bronze with a third place finish while fellow trampolinist Jacob Costello (Level 5 - 17+) established a new personal best score with his first routine at the event, showcasing four double flips as part of his performance.

Costello also teamed up with coach Brent Farnsworth (Level 6 - Men) to earn silver in the Synchronised Trampoline discipline.

Tumblers Lily Caverly (Level 1 - age 14) and Brielle Tremblay (Level 2 - 15+) both managed to hit their qualifying scores in Alliston, extending their seasons while Isabelle Croteau (Level 1 - 15+) finished fourth in her category, earning a berth at provincials in her very first year of tumbling.

On the same weekend, Hector Loiselle (Junior Men) was in Calgary (Alberta) for the Elite Canada Meet, also hitting new personal bests with four doubles across two passes, a performance that earned him a silver medal.
