Like most who enjoy their winter sports, the Adanac Ski Racing Club members understandably would have loved to experience a more traditional season of snow-fall in northern Ontario.
But when it comes to their wish list at the final event of the season, the ASRC honestly could not have wished for a whole lot more.
With the quartet of Clara Russell (three gold medals), Tomas Long (two gold medals; one silver); Ella Prosperi (gold & silver) and Melania Grossi (gold/silver/bronze) leading the way, the locals combined for a total of 14 medals and no less than 41 top ten placements at the Honda Cup hosted last month by the Searchmont Ski Runners.
Also hitting the podium were Cameron Hodgins (two bronze medals) and Oscar Long (bronze) as the U8-U12 Sudbury crew showcased the end results of the hard work and dedication of the athletes, as well as the guidance and support of the Adanac coaches.
