With nearly three times as many SDSSAA flag football teams competing this fall as there were on the boys side of the draw, it only stands to reason that the year-end individual award celebrations for the young women would dwarf that of their male counterparts.

The Flag Football Awards Banquet hosted recently at the Caruso Club would not only see individual award presentations made in all four brackets of play, but also the recognition of the special skills champions and the complete all-star listings for both Division A & Division B senior flag football.

St Charles College senior quarterback Katelynn Jacques was named both Quarterback of the Year (Senior - Div A) and also recognized for the furthest punt while Collège Notre-Dame freshman Adrielle Charette took home the Most Outstanding Player (Senior - Div B) as well as the fastest 50 yard dash accolades.

Bryn Hobson (SCC - longest FG) and Kayiesha Thomas (MMT - longest throw) were also honoured in the skills competitions, with the MVP plaques presented to Amber Rancourt (SCC - Jr Div A), Katrine Fortier (Champlain - Jr Div B), Sierra Boyuk (BAC - Sr Div A) and Kelly Clark (Champlain - Sr Div B) and Chloe Leduc (CFD - Jr Div A), Leah Serre (MMT - Jr Div B) and Abbey Walker (CFD - Sr Div A) walking off as the remaining Most Outstanding Players in their respective brackets.
