It's been a few months since the 2023-2024 season ended for the Sudbury U16 Jam boys basketball team - but the simple truth is that this is a team that head coach Ben Smith is not about to forget anytime soon.

"Thios team was not just a collection of talented individuals," noted coach Smith of the squad which posted an overall record of 17-12 and capped off the year by claiming bronze in Ontario Cup - Division 2 play.

"This was a family bound by shared goals and relentless determination. Every member contributed to our success with passion and resilience."

Gathering momentum as the season progressed, the Jam boys finished second at the IEM AAA/AA Tournament in Newmarket in mid-April, downing the SBA (Scarborough Basketball Association) Blues 72-64 in the semis but falling 70-59 to the Hoopzone Knights (North York) in the final.

The 2023-2024 roster for the Sudbury U16 Jam boys team featured Carter McLennan, Deran Cooper, Ethan Uloghobui, Grayson Marshall, Ian Ziegler, Keegan Adair, Kieran Adams, Maks Beljo, Noah Skrobot, Rowan Waye and Sullivan Smith.
