Costello, Loiselle and company keeping busy on the T & T circuit

With a pair of T & T (Tumbling & Trampoline) provincial qualifiers under their belts, the Sudbury Laurels / GymZone crew are performing pretty much as expected.

The top-end tandem of Hector Loiselle (Tumbling - Junior Men) and Jacob Costello (Trampoline - Level 5 - 17+ Men) are hitting the podium with regularity while the remainder of the squad builds up more and more competitive experience at venues across Ontario.

After attending his second consecutive World Age Group (Gymnastics) Championships in late 2023, Loiselle was allowed to by-pass the first of the qualifiers this year, showing little to no rust with a first place finish in late February in Burlington.

Costello was able to progress to Level 5 National after achieving the required score in Kingston, earning a gold medal in the Men's Level 4 Age 17+ bracket and then following that up with a silver medal performance in Burlington, all while jumping from Level 4 to Level 5.

Also participating in both meets were teammates Isabelle Croteau (Tumbling - Level 1 - Age 15+), who earned 6th and 9th place finishes while Brielle Tremblay (Tumbling - Level 2 - 15+) showed consistency with placements of 13th and 14th while moving up one age category.

The earliest competitions would also see Liam Cairns (Trampoline - Level 2 - Age 15+ - 5th place) and coach Brent Farnsworth (Trampoline - Level 7 - Open - 5th place) travelling south to be part of the action.

The most recent gathering in Burlington would see both Isabelle Croteau (Tumbling - Level 1 - 15+) and Lily Caverly (Tumbling - Level 1 - Age 14) welcomed to the group, enjoying showings of 9th and 12th place respectively.

The Sudbury Laurels / GymZone athletes are now busy in preparation for the third and final qualifier, set for April 5th to 7th in Alliston, with Hector Loiselle making his way to Calgary for an Elite Canada competition at that same time.
