2023-01-09

With one day remaining until the OHL trade deadline closes, the Sudbury Wolves made a depth move on Monday, acquiring 18 year-old forward Nicholas Yearwood from the London Knights in exchange for Sudbury's 10th round pick in 2026.

A native of Thornhill, Yearwood was originally selected by London in the 15th round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection draft.

Yearwood spent the 2021-2022 season with the Komoka Kings of the GOJHL, racking up 14 goals and 18 assists (32 points) in 33 games and adding\ another ten points (6G-4A) in just five post-season outings.

Between this year and last, the 6'0" 190 pound graduate of the North York Rangers U16 AAA program has played in 29 OHL games, recording three assists and still looking for his first goal in the league.

According to the Wolves media release, Yearwood is expected to be in the lineup when Sudbury faces the North Bay Battalion at home on Wednesday night.
