The Team Croisier Curl Sudbury rink of Bella Croisier, Piper Croisier, Dominique Vivier and Celeste Gauthier will have to be content with a very nice run in Oshawa that fell just short.

Competing at the Canadian Junior Cup, the local rink would string together four straight wins, beaten by the eventual bonspiel champions in the semi-finals and settling for Consolation honours with a 7-3 win over Charlotte Johnston (Barrie Curling Club).

Croisier and company posted a 3-0 record in preliminary round action with victories over Grace Cave from the High Park Club in Toronto (4-3), Jenny Madden of the Rideau Curling Club in Ottawa (7-6) and Meaghan Mallett from the Dixie Curling Club in Mississauga (7-5).

A second victory over Team Madden (7-1) in the quarter-finals would pit the U21 ladies opposite Isabel Einspieler (Curling Center St Gallen – Switzerland), with the European rink besting the Croisier quartet 8-5 en route to their championship journey.

Team Croisier are right back in action next weekend, taking part in the Mallette-Goring Cash Spiel (January 6th - 8th) hosted by the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club before leaving for Kenora in late January, site of the NOCA Scotties (January 24th to the 29th).
