Cedar Green events wrapping up the summer
2020-09-08

The last of the local senior golf tournaments is in the books as Cedar Green Golf Club in Garson played host to twenty golfers a few weekends back, the group broken down into three separate brackets.

John Alpaugh laid claim to the 50-59 men's crown, carding a single round score of 72, two shots better than Jeff Fenerty, and five strokes clear of Andy Benedetti.

The 60-69 men's hardware was doled out to Dwight Bridges, who was red-hot on the front nine (33), his final mark of 73 just one better than second place finisher Dion Dumontelle.

The race for the ladies title was not quite as close as Colette Montpellier (90) entered the clubhouse comfortably ahead of Carole Trottier at 98.

The event was sponsored by Chartwell Meadowbrook Retirement Residence, as was the Timberwolf Senior Open.
