Local crew compete at Ottawa Silver Jr Squash Tournament
2019-02-19
by Randy Pascal

Travelling to the nation's capital with a delegation of no less than nine local youth squash players, a Sudbury convoy of talent returned from the Ottawa Silver Junior Squash Tournament with some very impressive results.

The grouping included five members of the Sudbury Squash team, as well as another four students from the squash program at École St-Étienne in Dowling.

Showing the way for the northern crew were Robert de la Riva (1st place - boys U15) and Emma Dawson (3rd place - girls U15), both of whom managed to reach the podium.

Right on their heels were the tandem of Madelyn Petherick (4th place - girls U15) and Tiago Ferreira (4th place - boys U15), with both Clark MacIntyre (consolation champion - boys U13) and Madeline Gunby (consolation champion - girls U13) also returning home with a little extra hardware.
