2018-08-07
by Randy Pascal

The Aboriginal Sport Council of Ontario (ASWCO), in conjunction with SportLink (Greater Sudbury Sport Council), is offering a free water sports camp for indigenous youth on the weekend of August 11th and 12th at the Northern Water Sports Centre in Sudbury.

Youth aged 14 to 19 years old, representing First Nations, Métis or Inuit bands, are welcomed to attend (spots are limited). The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, and will introduce participants to water sports including canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

In addition, everyone in attendance will enjoy a cultural introduction to the Standing Bear - Youth Leadership Program Orientation presentation. Lunch is provided.

For further information or to register, kindly contact either Josh Carpenter (josh.carpenter@aswco.ca) or Randy Pascal at SportLink (info@sudburysports.com or by phone at 705-698-1627).
