Cedar Green event opens Junior Golf Tour schedule
2018-06-04
by Randy Pascal

A pair of young local golfers would run away from the field in their respective age brackets as the Sudbury Junior Golf Tour kicked off the summer of 2018 with the first event of the season at the Cedar Green Golf Course.

Ryder Coe (U13) and Aiden Deng (U16) registered victories by eight and seven strokes respectively, carding scores of 93 (Coe) and 82 (Deng). There was a tight race directly behind Coe, as the next three finishers were separated by just five strokes: Eligh Deng (101), Ben Hickey (104) and Ryan Di Salle (106).

Rounding out the top five in the older bracket were Joseph Colasimone (89), Adam Zulich (90), Jack Rain (93) and Jacob Demore (94). While there was only one entry in the girls competition, it was a good one, as youngster Lea Lemieux continues to show well, shooting a score of 101 in Garson.

Following is a listing of all remaining scores for the Cedar Green tournament:

U13 Boys Division
Jacob Leduc - 120
Clark Turcotte - 123
Miguel Bazinet - 124
Nicolas Leduc - 139

U16 Boys Division
Mathieu Bazinet - 103
Connor Di Salle - 104
Stephen Irvine - 120
