Alouettes strike first in girls hockey final
2018-02-16
by Randy Pascal

The College Notre-Dame Alouettes have grabbed a 1-0 lead in the SDSSAA Division I Girls Hockey final, slipping past the Lo-Ellen Park Knights 2-1 on Wednesday. Goals by Danika Godin and Vanessa Mckinnon provided the margin of victory.

CND advanced to the finals only after surviving a three game set with the St Charles College Cardinals, taking the deciding game 5-1 as Allyxa Breton enjoyed a two goal performance for the winners.

Godin, McKinnon and Chloe Leduc also found the back of the net for the Alouettes. Game two in the city final between Lo-Ellen and Notre-Dame is set for Tuesday, February 20th.
