WMBC Wolfpak gets early start to the cycling season

Apparently, copious amounts of snow does little to detract the competitors that represent the Walden Mountain Bike Club's Wolfpak Racing Team.
The Wolfpak got an early start to the biking season, continuing their trend of podium finishes with a trio of riders taking part in the Apple Self
Storage Fat Bike Festival held at the Albion Hills Conservation Area earlier this month.
Nicholas Carrier rode to a first place finish in the Male 30-39 20kms division, posting a time of 59:34, while Paul Guenette easily
outdistanced the field in the Male 19-29 bracket, covering the twenty kilometer course in a festival best time of 57:57.
Luukas Ovaska appears ready to pick up, in stride, from where his freshman season with the team left off, earning a silver medal in the Male
Under 18 age category, crossing the line in 1:07:43.
The Wolfpak now looks forward to the upcoming 2018 Ontario Cup and Canada Cup seasons, anticipating fielding a larger squad that in
previous summers as they welcome several new members to the team this year.
