Hockey Night in Rayside-Balfour this Saturday
2016-08-08

Folks out Chelmsford way will be celebrating the rich and storied hockey tradition of the area, as part of the 125th anniversary of the Town of Rayside-Balfour, this coming weekend.

"Hockey Night in Rayside-Balfour" is set for this coming Saturday, August 13th, with doors opening at the Chelmsford Arena at 6:00 p.m., and an official program that kicks off about an hour later.

The event, with ticket sales at $25/person, will bring together countless alumni of both the RBMHA (Rayside-Balfour Minor Hockey Association), as well as the various incarnations of junior hockey in the area.

Included among those who have confirmed their attendance is Stanley Cup champion NHL coach Randy Carlyle, recently signed back on with the Anaheim Ducks for a second go-around with the team he guided to the Holy Grail of professional hockey.

The evening will include both a live and silent auction, a cash bar, games of chances, and plenty of memories and stories to be shared, all on the floor of the home of the Rayside-Balfour Canadians.

Further information can be obtained by visiting "www.rb125.ca", with proceeds from this fundraising effort being shared between the RBMHA, the Junior "A" Canadians, as well as Café-Musique.
