Though the games were progressively tougher, the Sudbury U14 Storm boys were more than ready to ratchet up their play last weekend in Toronto.

Participating in their latest Basketball Ontario tournament, the local lads cruised through game one, a 71-19 win over the Grimsby Grizzlies, still quite comfortable in moving to 2-0 thanks to a 91-39 victory over the York North Avengers.

A troika of games on Sunday provided much more of a push as the Storm bounced the Chatham Kent Wildcats (72-45) before taking down the Oshawa Commanders in the semis (67-45) and edging Time 2 Hoop Basketball Academy from Peterborough in the final, 73-72.

Kaden Saidi-Smith, Fred Becker, Felix Naghi, Christopher Folino, Angelo Kalonji, Jack O'Connell, Maxime Belzile, Levi Blouin, Tyion Thompson, Thomas Deredin, Samuel Niyonkuru, Liam Hagen, Koen Levasseur, Kamron Tessier and coach Syan Thompson make up your 2023-2024 edition of the Sudbury U14 Storm boys basketball crew.
