The Sudbury U16 AA Wolves were undoubtedly disappointed when a pair of teams dropped out late from the 2024 Canadian Cup in Montreal.

Thankfully what remained was three extremely competitive teams as Sudbury posted a 2-2 record in round robin play against the Orangeville Flyers (5-1 win; 4-3 loss) and the Sarnia Sting (3-2 win; 3-2 loss) before bouncing the latter 4-1 in the final to claim gold.

Liam Judd paced the Wolves offensively with five goals, with Lincoln Lachance and Jackson Noble adding nine points each (2G + 7A) while Leila Barsanti picked up the win in net in the gold medal game.

Also garnering attention as some of the remaining contributors on the attack for the SMHA squad were the likes of Masa Innis (2G/3A), Karson Gouchie (2G/1A), Zack Peltier (1G/2A), Russell Ranger (2G), Dominico Malafarina (2A) and Vinny Gilbert (1G/1A).

Rowan McCann racked up a win and a loss in his two appearances between the pipes for the Wolves.
