Blanchard and Lanteignes mine Gold in California
2009-01-09
by Randy Pascal

While achieving success at top end international competitions might be old hat for Benoit Team XTreme member Justin Lanteigne, the 2009 National Black Belt League (NBL) Super Grands held recently in Sacramento (California) provided a breakthrough for teammates Trevor Blanchard and Jordan Lanteigne.

All three captured Gold as Blanchard nabbed top spot in Jr Traditional Forms, Justin Lanteigne topped his grouping in Traditional Weapons while Jordan Lanteigne picked up his first solo world title, finishing first in the 17 and under Open Forms Division.

Christian Fey also managed to secure a Silver medal for the Benoit crew while Sean Grech registered a top eight finish in all of the divisions in which he competed.
