Bi-weekly divisional or league updates will offer a wide array of statistical tidbits, roster updates, tournament results for participating teams. It's been a busy few weeks indeed for local wrestlers, many of whom followed up a top-end competition at Brock University in St Catherines, taking part in the OAWA Juvenile and Cadet Championships and then taking to the mat once again for both the SDSSA and NOSSA meets, both staged in Sudbury. Following are results from all three events:

First place finishers for the city wrestling championships were as follows:

Team championships were awarded to the Chelmsford Flyers boys, Macdonald-Cartier girls and the Flyers overall aggregate team. Devin Jokinen of Lo-Ellen was named top rookie boy, Mercedes Byrnes received the honour as top rookie girl, Sheldon Burton was recognized as the Male MVP wrestler while Sarah Hirschfeld was named Female MVP wrestler.

Ontario University Wrestling (OUA Championships)

Some familar Sudbury names achieving success at the OUA wrestling championships as Lockerby Composite graduate Jason Cecchini (McMaster) placed 4th in the men's heavyweight division, Diana Ford (Guelph) finished 5th in the ladies 59 kg classification while 2007 OFSSA Gold medallist Celeste Rodrigues (Brock) picked up a bronze medal at the university level, wrestling in the 63 kg weight group.
